DANVILLE, VA (Saturday, August 26, 2023) —It’s another pole position for Paul Miller Racing, with Madison Snow scoring his second-consecutive pole in the IMSA championship today at VIRginia International Raceway.
Snow’s laptime of 1:45.225 was enough for first on the IMSA WeatherTech GTD grid, and third on the overall GT grid for Sunday’s Michelin GT Challenge at VIR.
The No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed duo of Snow and co-driver Bryan Sellers are looking for their fifth win of the year at a very special place for the team—they scored their first victory as a driver pair at VIR back in 2016.
Since that day, the duo have notched 10 more wins, including victories at Sebring, Long Beach, CTMP and Road America just this year. The stellar results have them sitting 205 points ahead in the championship entering this weekend’s race.
“I’m just unbelievably proud of this team and their execution all year,” Paul Miller Racing team manager, Mitchell Simmons, said.
“Another pole at the place we got our first win means the world to everyone here at Paul Miller Racing.
“And, to get two poles in a row in such a competitive series is really just a testament to how hard this team works to push forward week in and week out.”
Sunday’s two-hour, 40-minute Michelin GT Challenge at VIR will air LIVE on USA Network on Sunday, August 27 at 2:00 PM ET.

“No better place to start the race than up front! It’s going to be a tough race for us. Everybody is really close, and we’re not sure what the weather will be like yet. We definitely had a really good car this morning, especially on long-run pace. But, then we went out in qualifying and I realized how hot the track is and how much the track has changed. I don’t know what it’s going to be like tomorrow. I’m sure we’ll be alright—this team is who I want behind me going into an unknown weather situation. But, we’re going to have to execute perfectly and do our job to bring home a good result.”
