Alton, VA (Saturday, August 24, 2024) — It was a stellar qualifying for the Paul Miller Racing team at VIRginia International Raceway, with Madison Snow scoring the team’s first pole position since moving to the IMSA GTD Pro class at the start of the year.
VIR has long been a successful track for the team, with Snow and co-driver Bryan Sellers scoring their first win as a pairing at the Alton, Virginia facility back in 2016—winning from pole.
The duo also won the Michelin GT Challenge at VIR from pole last year, one of five GTD wins the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 squad scored en route to the 2023 IMSA GTD title.
Snow’s lap time of 1:43.206 was not only good enough for the team’s first pole position in the GTD Pro class, it is also a new track record for the class at VIR.
“It’s wonderful to finally have our first pole position in the GTD Pro class,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.
“This team has been working so hard, and it’s a great reward for all their hard work. I’m incredibly happy for Madison and how much he’s grown, and Bryan because I know he’ll be working hard to fight for the win at the end of the race.
“Honestly, I’m just excited!”
Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow will be looking to capitalize on the P1 starting position and hunt down their first GTD Pro win in Sunday’s two-hour, 40-minute GT-only race.
The race will air live on USA Network beginning at 12 noon ET. Live flag-to-flag coverage will also be available on NBC Peacock.

“Nice to finally be back on pole. It’s been a while since our last pole position at the end of last year. This Paul Miller team has worked really hard to get us back to where we belong. I think we have a good car for tomorrow’s race, though the race will be vastly different from qualifying. Tire deg has been a huge issue for everyone, and we aren’t any different in that respect. We’ll have to be prepared for that! I think we came in here with the right mindset—growing off of our podium at Road America—and I think we’re going to go into the race with an even stronger one.”
