Braselton, GA (Wednesday, October 9, 2024) — The Paul Miller Racing team is looking to close out their second Michelin Endurance Cup championship title with a strong showing this weekend at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta’s Motul Petit Le Mans.
The No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 machine currently sits third in the full-season IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro standings. But, without a realistic shot at the title, the focus shifts entirely to claiming the team’s second Michelin Endurance Cup win.
The Michelin Endurance Cup is a championship-within-a-championship focusing on the best teams and drivers in the five six-hour-or-longer events on the calendar. The team previously took the title with Bryan Sellers, Madison Snow and Corey Lewis in 2020. Currently, PMR drivers Sellers, Snow and Neil Verhagen lead the standings by five points going into the final race of the year.
The trio stood on the podium at the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona to kick off the team’s first-ever GTD Pro race and followed it up with a fourth place finish at the 12 Hours of Sebring. Sellers and Snow also saw success in the sprint races during the year—scoring a second-place finish at Road America and a stellar win-from-pole at VIRginia International Raceway.
“This year has really been a successful first outing in the GTD Pro class,” Paul Miller Racing team manager, Mitchell Simmons, said.
“To get a race win and a couple of podiums is a great result in a class this competitive and especially with what a big step up it is from the GTD class. But, we are a bunch of racers and I know we all want more.
“We want to win this GTD Pro Endurance Cup championship, and we want to win the race at Petit Le Mans this weekend. It’s the home track for our team and I know our crew want to win this race in front of all of our friends and families.”
Motul Petit Le Mans marks the end of an era for the Paul Miller Racing team, as the final race for Bryan Sellers. Since joining the team in 2016, Sellers has combined with Madison Snow to form one of the most successful pairings in IMSA GTD history. The duo won the 2018 and 2023 GTD championships, as well as scored 13 victories and 37 podium finishes together. Notable race wins include the 2018 and 2023 12 Hours of Sebring, 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona, and a string of three-consecutive victories at the Long Beach Grand Prix from 2021-2023.
The final race of the 2024 season also marks the last race as a one-car operation for Paul Miller Racing. It was recently announced that the team would run two BMW M4 GT3 EVO machines in the GTD Pro class in 2025, badged No. 1 and No. 48.
“This weekend is a little bittersweet for us,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.
“We’re excited to fight for the Endurance Cup championship. We’re excited to be expanding our program next year. But that program is going to look very different without Bryan around.
“He’s been a great part of this team for many seasons and I know we’re all going to miss him. But, we have to stay focused on the goal this weekend and hopefully we can send him off with a win and the Endurance Cup.”
The 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta goes green Saturday, October 12 at 12:10 PM ET. Live flag-to-flag coverage will be available on NBC Peacock. Television coverage will begin at 12:00 PM ET on NBC, with continuing coverage from 6:00 PM ET until the conclusion of the race on USA Network.

“Petit Le Mans is always such a special race. It’s another home race for me since I moved to the area in 2007. It’s the home race for the Paul Miller Racing team, for all the crew guys and their families. And it’s the home race for my wife, and my two kids were born not far from the track. So, to have this be my final race for Paul Miller Racing—I really couldn’t have picked a better event for it from that perspective. I’m just so thankful for my time here at this team. For the wins and the championship, of course—but even more so for the friendships and the memories. For the ability to get to know these crew guys, and to get to know Madison especially. I’ve found not just colleagues or friends, but family here at Paul Miller Racing. And so, going into this weekend, I just want to thank all of them. To thank Paul and Andy, and Mitchell and Lars, and the Snows, and everyone who has been a part of this journey. I’m excited for the next step. But, before then, I’m excited to fight this weekend and hopefully end up with a good result.”

“Petit is my favorite race of the year. Driving at night around Road Atlanta is like nothing else due to how challenging this place is. The fans are amazing, which changes the whole energy of the paddock. There are only a few races on the schedule that compete with the fans at Petit. I’m excited to see what we can do here rounding off the end of my first GTD Pro season. This year will, of course, be extra special because it’s Bryan’s last race with the team. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to drive with Bryan for so many years now—but even more grateful that I’ve been able to get to know Bryan for so many years. He’s been an asset to our team and an asset to my career, and I know he’ll be an asset at DXDT as well. It’s a great opportunity and one I absolutely encouraged him to take. It just makes the motivation to do well even higher.”

It would be such a nice way to end the season, not just for us but especially with it being Bryan’s last race with the team.
