INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (September 20, 2025) – Paul Miller Racing secured a landmark result in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship qualifying at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, as Dan Harper took pole position in the No. 48 BMW M4 GT3.
In hot track conditions, Harper delivered an outstanding performance, setting a fastest lap of 1:23.259 on his eighth tour of the circuit. Across a total of nine laps, Harper executed a near-perfect run, earning his first-ever IMSA pole position.
Meanwhile, teammate Madison Snow put in a competitive effort in the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3, ultimately qualifying P9 with a best lap of 1:23.807, just +0.548 seconds behind the pole time. Snow’s fastest lap came on his seventh attempt.

Paul Miller Racing Team Manager Mitchell Simmons praised the performance of Harper and the crew: “What a great effort by Dan and the entire 48 crew. We were trying a few things in free practice, and the engineers did a great job by putting together a fantastic car.
“Dan’s lap was mega and put together the sectors perfectly. We are super proud he was able to get his first IMSA pole here at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.”
Dan Harper shared his thoughts on securing his first IMSA pole:
“Pole position at Indy! What a fantastic performance by the whole team – the car felt really strong. It’s great to finally get my first pole in IMSA. It feels like it’s been a long time coming. I’m really happy to put us in a great spot for tomorrow, and fingers crossed we can have a clean race and fight for the podium.”

The Paul Miller Racing squad now turns its focus to tomorrow’s race, where both the No. 48 and No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 entries will look to convert their qualifying pace into strong results at the Brickyard.
With a demanding six-hour endurance race ahead, anything can happen. Strategy, consistency, and weather will all play crucial roles – and with the forecast still uncertain, the possibility of rain could add even more drama to an already thrilling contest.
The green flag is set to drop on Sunday, September 21 at 11:40 AM ET. Full, flag-to-flag coverage will be available on NBC Network in the United States. Fans can also watch the entire race live on Peacock in the U.S., and internationally through IMSA.tv or the official IMSA YouTube channel.
