WATKINS GLEN, New York (June 28, 2026) – Paul Miller Racing secured a top-three starting position for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, with Neil Verhagen qualifying the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO third in the GTD PRO class.

Verhagen recorded a best lap of 1:44.089 on his eighth of nine qualifying laps around the 3.4-mile Watkins Glen International circuit.

The lap placed the No. 1 BMW third on the grid, just 0.388 seconds behind the pole-winning No. 14 Vasser Sullivan Lexus. The No. 77 AO Racing Porsche qualified second.

The result continued the team’s steady progress throughout the weekend.

After finishing seventh in the opening practice session and fifth in Practice 2, Paul Miller Racing took another step forward in qualifying to secure a second-row starting position for the six-hour endurance race.

Qualifying was delayed by approximately two hours after several curbs in the Inner Loop (Bus Stop) became loose.

The damaged curbs were removed before the session could begin. Once the track was cleared, Verhagen delivered a clean qualifying run to put the No. 1 BMW in contention from the outset of Sunday’s race.

With championship points awarded at both the three-hour mark and the checkered flag, Watkins Glen is one of the most important rounds of the Michelin Endurance Cup season.

Paul Miller Racing enters the weekend leading the MEC standings while sitting second in the GTD PRO championship, making Sunday’s race another key opportunity to strengthen both title campaigns.

“The team has done a great job improving the car with every session, and P3 is a good place to start a six-hour race,” said Verhagen.

“There’s a long way to go tomorrow, and with points available at halfway and the finish, the focus is on executing a clean race and putting ourselves in position when it matters most.”
