INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana (September 15, 2026) – The challenge at Indianapolis looks very different for Paul Miller Racing this year. After a six-hour race in 2025, the TireRack.com Battle On The Bricks returns as a 2-hour, 40-minute sprint and the final short-format race before Petit Le Mans.
Paul Miller Racing arrives at Indianapolis still leading GTD PRO. Neil Verhagen and Connor De Phillippi have 2,432 points in the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, with Nicky Catsburg and Tommy Milner second on 2,409.
The 23-point difference between them is currently the smallest championship gap across all four WeatherTech Championship classes. The fight also extends well beyond the top two, with only 67 points covering the first five GTD PRO entries.
The traffic picture will be different from VIR as well. After the GT-only round in Virginia, all four WeatherTech Championship classes return at Indianapolis.
A total of 44 cars are entered, including 11 GTP, 10 LMP2, 10 GTD PRO and 13 GTD entries, putting the No. 1 BMW back on track with prototype traffic throughout the race.
Paul Miller Racing has recent form at the 2.439-mile Indianapolis road course. Last year, when the Battle On The Bricks was still a six-hour endurance race, Dan Harper put the team’s No. 48 BMW M4 GT3 EVO on the GTD PRO pole. The car went on to finish third after 231 laps, giving the team a podium at the Brickyard.
This year, the No. 1 BMW will also carry an extra name.
Six-year-old Chanel M. will be represented on the car as Paul Miller Racing’s Resilient Racer through the Austin Hatcher Foundation. Chanel is currently in treatment and has reached remission, with her family describing the opportunity to see her name on the race car as a celebration of her courage, resilience and how far she has come.
The IMSA Resilient Racers program returns to Indianapolis for a second year in partnership with the Austin Hatcher Foundation and Camp Boggy Creek.
Created to raise awareness and funds for children and families facing pediatric cancer and other serious illnesses, the program pairs WeatherTech Championship teams with children whose names are carried on the race cars throughout the weekend.
