Lakeville, Conn., (July 19, 2017) – This weekend, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship team Paul Miller Racing will enjoy competition on its home turf, racing at the Northeast Grand Prix at Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut. Round 8 of the championship will run two of the four series classes, on what is the shortest track on the 2017 calendar.
Following the previous round at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, the No. 48 TOTAL Lubricants/UIS Lamborghini Huracán GT3 traveled to Paul Miller’s Audi dealership in New Jersey, just over 100 miles from Lime Rock Park. There, the car was prepared for Saturday’s race before heading to the northwest corner of Connecticut.
The 1.474 mile, seven turn road course offers little time for drivers Bryan Sellers and Madison Snow to rest, with lap times under one minute. The event itself is also the shortest of the year, fitting all seven on track sessions into a two day window. The tightened schedule will put added pressure on each team to find the perfect qualifying and race set ups in time for Saturday afternoon’s event.

I’m very excited about getting back to Lime Rock. It is one of the best events we go to. The fans are knowledgeable and generally sell out the event. There is always some added motivation at this race because it is a home event for Paul Miller and we want to perform for them!

Lime Rock is the shortest track we racing all year which changes both driving style, strategy, and how we race the other competitors. There are no long straights here or heavy breaking zones compared to tracks like Canadian Tire Motorsport Park or Detroit to make for easy passing opportunities. This track takes a lot of smooth precision and finesse as you have to roll a lot of speed through all the corners. This is also the shortest event for us which pushes us to get the car set up very quickly as we have a little time to make changes throughout the weekend, which heavily benefits unloading with a good car. This is the home track for Paul Milller Racing so there’s always some extra push to do well here, we had a really good car at the last race so I believe we will be able to have a good race in Lime Rock.
