BUFORD, Georgia (October 10, 2025) – Paul Miller Racing continued its strong form in IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship qualifying, securing pole position and a P6 result in GTD PRO for the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
Under warm and sunny conditions at the team’s home track, Dan Harper delivered another impressive performance in the No. 48 BMW M4 GT3, setting the fastest lap of 1:18.523 on his 10th lap of an 11-lap run.
The effort marked Harper’s second consecutive pole after topping qualifying at Indianapolis last month, and his second IMSA pole overall.
“I’m very happy,” Harper said after the session. “Pole position for Petit Le Mans – a great way to round out the season with two poles in a row. Most points in qualifying for GTD PRO this year, which is nice. A big thank you to the guys in the team.
“They always give me a very fast car, and that proves it. Now we need to finish the job tomorrow when it matters. The race will be a difficult one – traffic management will be key – but starting up front is already a big help. Hopefully, we can stay there and manage the race as best we can for a great result to finish the year.”

Teammate Neil Verhagen also showed strong pace in the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3, setting a best lap of 1:18.832 on lap seven of his eight-lap run – just 0.309 seconds behind Harper’s pole time.
Verhagen’s lap secured P6 on the grid, placing both Paul Miller Racing cars well within the lead pack ahead of tomorrow’s 10-hour endurance classic.
“Qualifying done. I think performance was quite good,” Verhagen said. “Congratulations to Dan and the No. 48 crew on the pole position. Unfortunately, we didn’t quite get to that level – only doing one set was always going to be tricky.
“It’s a little frustrating when P3 is so close, within just a tenth, which would have moved me up three spots on the grid. So it looks worse on paper than it actually is. But we’re in a good place for tomorrow – we’ll push hard and go try to win the Endurance Cup.”
Both Paul Miller Racing entries sit at the top of the Michelin Endurance Cup standings. The only question remaining is which of the two BMWs – the No. 1 or No. 48 – will claim the crown after the season finale.

Mitchell Simmons, Paul Miller Racing Team Principal, added:
“What a fantastic effort by the entire crew today. Being at our home track always makes it special, and Dan drove an incredible lap to secure back-to-back poles. I’m really proud of the whole team.”
With both cars starting from strong positions and momentum from Indianapolis, Paul Miller Racing heads into Saturday’s 10-hour race confident and motivated to close out a remarkable season in style.
