Paul Miller Racing’s Ryan Hardwick will miss this weekend’s round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship after suffering a knee injury at the previous round in Canada.

Corey Lewis will step in to drive this weekend at Lime Rock with Hardwick hopeful of a full recovery in time for Road America.

“Unfortunately, I had to withdraw myself from competition for this weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech Championship race at Lime Rock Park, due to an injury that I sustained at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park,” said Hardwick.

“I injured my left knee in Canada when my car impacted the wall at high speed due to contact with a prototype car. Since that incident, I have seen an orthopedic doctor in Atlanta, and I’m currently awaiting results from an MRI to understand the full extent of the injury. I was hoping that my knee would heal and that I would be ready to race here at Lime Rock, but unfortunately, that is not the case.

“I am grateful that my good friend & teammate Corey Lewis is able to step into the driver seat on such short notice. Our entire team is ready to bounce back in a big way this weekend, and I know that Corey and Bryan will be doing their best to deliver a great result for our entire team, friends, family, and sponsors.

“I remain hopeful that my MRI results come back positive, and that I’m able to be back driving with my team at Road America.”
