LAKEVILLE, CT (Thursday, July 20, 2023) —The No. 1 Paul Miller Racing team heads to Connecticut’s Lime Rock Park for the first GT-only round of the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as the reigning Lime Rock winners, winners of the most recent IMSA race, and GTD championship leaders.
Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers roll into the home race of the Paul Miller Auto Group following an incredible first half of the 2023 season. The duo won the 12 Hours of Sebring, Long Beach Grand Prix and, most recently, at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
Thanks to the incredibly successful start to their season, the Quartz Engine Oil-backed BMW M4 GT3 duo have amassed a 212-point advantage in the IMSA GTD championship standings.
At the team’s last visit to Lime Rock Park, they led 35 laps early in the race before a dramatic final-corner, final-lap pass to take the win. Snow and Sellers have additionally won at Lime Rock in 2018 en route to their GTD championship victory, and finished second in 2021 and 2017. When racing together as a pair, Snow and Sellers have finished off the podium at Lime Rock Park just once, scoring fourth in 2016.
“This race is incredibly special not just for our race team, but for everyone at Paul Miller Auto Group,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.
“It’s their best chance during the season to come out and see us in action and we always have such a large group turn up and support us—it makes it really very special.
“And, thankfully, they’ve gotten to see us do very well here over the years! This track has been good to us and Madison and Bryan have an incredible record of results at Lime Rock. Hopefully we can keep that streak going this year.”
The GT-only event from Lime Rock Park kicks off Friday, July 21, with the race following on Saturday as part of the traditional, condensed, two-day race weekend.
Saturday’s Northeast Grand Prix goes green at 12:10 PM ET, with live flag-to-flag coverage on USA Network and NBC Peacock.
Madison Snow
“Lime Rock has historically been a great race for us. We haven’t always had the outright pace but have made up for it with a bit of strategy. This track deserves some out of the box thinking, due to it being such a short lap it’s easy to go down a lap if something goes wrong. This is also the home race for the Paul Miller Auto Group family so we always have a lot of support here!”
Bryan Sellers
“Lime Rock is a great event. There is something so cool about racing there and seeing the hillside lined with fans. It’s a place that is very special to everyone in the Paul Miller Racing and Auto Group family because it is so close in proximity to them. We always have a lot of people that attend in our support and I hope we can put on a good show.”
