PARSIPPANY, New Jersey (January 30, 2016) Paul Miller Racing had a strong start to the Rolex 24 At Daytona, leading the GTD class for most of the first six hours of the 24-hour race. Bryce Miller (Summit, N.J.), Bryan Sellers (Atlanta) and Madison Snow (Lehi, Utah) all led for most of their stints. Mirko Bortolotti (Italy) will drive in the second quarter of the race on the 3.56-mile Daytona International Speedway infield road course in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Miller drove the first stint in the team’s No. 48 Castrol/UIS Lamborghini Huracán GT3. He started 16th on the GTD grid and quickly moved up to take the class lead just before the one-hour mark. He stayed in the top two through his stint and pitted from the lead for a driver change. Sellers drove next, followed by Snow, both also leading the class. Bortolotti is in pit lane, ready to take the next stint.

Bryce Miller: “The car is just so very good. The crew have had a lot of challenges this week – it’s our first year with this car. But this speaks to how the team was able to rise to the occasion and address those challenges head-on and still deliver a car like this. It’s just an amazing job by the team. We have a really good setup that’s taking care of the tires. If you drive the car a certain way and you’re kind to it and you just let it do its job, you can maintain the tires. The crew have done a great job with the setup.”

Bryan Sellers: “In these conditions, the car seems to be pretty solid; the balance is reasonable. It’s not a super-super-fast car, but in terms of an endurance package, it’s great. It’s nice to drive, it’s consistent, it keeps the tires under it for the whole stint. It’s still early, so hopefully everyone else doesn’t turn up and leave us behind, but right now, we’re good. We’ll just keep pushing and if we continue to lead, it’s great. And if not, we’ll find a way to get back up to the front.”
