BOWMANVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA (Saturday, July 2, 2022) — Madison Snow stuck the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed M4 GT3 on the second row for the team’s return to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Clocking a time of 1:16.004, Snow slotted the No. 1 machine P3 for the team’s first green flag at CTMP since 2018. Snow and Sellers finished fourth in that 2018 event.

This weekend’s CTMP race is eligible for Sprint Cup points only. The Sprint Cup is a championship-within-a-championship for races two hours, 40-minutes or less. Paul Miller Racing currently leads the Sprint Cup by 134 points following a victory at Long Beach, second place at Mid-Ohio, third at Detroit, and fourth at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

“I’m extremely happy with our qualifying position,” Paul Miller Racing team manager, Mitchell Simmons, said.

“We’re especially happy after the recent Balance of Performance changes. We didn’t have anything for the non-BoP cars, but did really well compared to the others”

“Qualifying matters quite a bit here, so to start on the second row is going to hopefully give us an advantage in the race tomorrow.”

You can catch IMSA’s return North of the border LIVE on NBC Network Television Sunday, July 3rd, at 3:00 PM ET.

“The car was good in practice, and it was definitely even better in qualifying. We unrolled really good coming from The Glen—and then we got a little bit better in practice one, and a little bit better in practice two, and now we had a really good car for qualifying. I can’t really think of anything that I would change out there, and having reviewed data with Bryan, it was a good lap! I think we definitely have a good car for the race. It’s been a long time since I’ve raced here, but I want to say it is difficult to pass around here. There’s not a lot of heavy brake zones, so qualifying is really important here. Now, we just have to get out there and see what we can do in the race.”
