WATKINS GLEN, NY (Wednesday, June 21, 2023) — IMSA GTD Championship leaders Paul Miller Racing heads to Watkins Glen International for the third endurance race of the 2023 season.
Full-season drivers Madison Snow and Bryan Sellers will be joined by longtime Paul Miller Racing driver Corey Lewis aboard the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed BMW M4 GT3 machine in their quest to win the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen for the first time for the team.
The trio has already won this year in endurance competition, scoring the victory in dramatic fuel-saving fashion at the 12 Hours of Sebring in March. Additionally, Snow and Sellers took their third consecutive win at the Long Beach Grand Prix, catapulting the team into the championship lead—which currently stands at 62 points.
Watkins Glen is the third of four endurance races in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season—the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, and the season-ending Petit Le Mans. Sellers, Snow, and Lewis last stood on the podium there in 2021, while Snow and Sellers had an additional podium finish together in 2018—en route to their IMSA GTD championship victory.
“Wakins Glen is a classic track with such a rich racing history—it’s always fantastic to be back racing here,” Paul Miller Racing team owner Paul Miller said.
“But, no matter how much we love it already, we’d love it even more if we won! This race is one our entire team wants victory at. We’ve won the three other endurance races but haven’t won this one yet as a team, and I know that makes everyone super motivated to win.”
Action at Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen kicks off with practice Friday, June 23rd, at 4:30 PM ET. All six hours of Sunday’s race will air flag-to-flag on NBC Peacock beginning at 10:30 AM ET. Television coverage will air on USA Network starting at 2:00 PM ET.
Madison Snow
“Watkins is always a great event. It’s a very short endurance race for us compared to the three longer ones we race in the year. It’s usually the hottest endurance race as well. Like Bryan mentioned, we have had success but never won here. We have a great lineup with Corey joining us, so let’s see what we can do!”
Bryan Sellers
“Watkins Glen is my favorite track on the schedule. It’s a place that I am always in awe of. Every time I drive through the gates, I’m excited to drive. We have had success in the event over the years but never a win. This is one everyone wants, and hopefully, we will have enough to get it done.”
Corey Lewis
“Very excited to be back at Watkins Glen with PMR. This is a hometown race for me, so I always have a lot of family and friends in attendance. As a team, they’ve always had a great race car here and have found themselves on the podium here a few times. I can’t wait to get to work with Bryan and Madison to fight for the top step!”
