MONTEREY, CA (Saturday, April 30, 2022) — The Paul Miller Racing team will roll off sixth for tomorrow’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

Madison Snow set a time of 1:24.121 in the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed BMW M4 GT3 to secure the P6 starting spot for the team.

The race at Laguna Seca marks the second round of the Sprint Cup, a championship-within-a-championship comprising IMSA races two hours, 40 minutes, and shorter. The Paul Miller Racing pair of Snow and Bryan Sellers lead the Sprint Cup following their dominating victory earlier this month at the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

“This racetrack is really about conserving tires and race setup, more so than most of the other places we race,” Paul Miller Racing team manager, Mitchell Simmons, said.

“Our team has been working really hard on that, including when we tested here earlier this month. We’re only starting sixth, but really, anything can happen and we’re hoping to be able to move through the field and notch another good finish in this second sprint race of the year.”

The Monterey Sports Car Championship race will air LIVE on NBC beginning at 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET. Live flag-to-flag coverage will also be available on NBC Peacock.

“There’s not much to say, we’re sixth. The car is pretty good, comfortable to drive, and hopefully should be good on tires. You’re always hoping for more, especially at a place like this where we’ve been successful before, but we’re definitely not upset to be starting in the sixth position. Tomorrow, it will all be down to strategy and execution, and that’s what our team really excels at, so hopefully, we can work our way towards the front from here.”
