ALTON, Virginia (August 18, 2025) – Paul Miller Racing heads to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for the Michelin GT Challenge, the final sprint-format round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

While both BMW M4 GT3 EVO entries sit mid-pack in the GTD Pro standings, the team approaches VIR with renewed confidence after the No. 1 machine’s recent sprint victory at Road America – aiming to carry that momentum into one of the most flowing, high-speed circuits on the calendar and close the sprint season on a high.

The 3.27-mile, 18-turn VIR layout rewards commitment and rhythm – qualities that have historically suited Paul Miller Racing.

It also places a premium on qualifying and track position; at 2 hours and 40 minutes with fewer stops and less time to recover, clean execution from grid to checkered flag will be decisive.

Momentum has been shared across both sides of the Paul Miller Racing garage this season. Earlier in the year, the No. 48 BMW of Max Hesse and Dan Harper broke through with a commanding victory at Watkins Glen, showcasing the car’s pace and consistency in longer sprint formats.

That result, paired with the No. 1’s recent Road America triumph, underlines the team’s ability to challenge at the front across different circuits and conditions.

VIR has long been a happy hunting ground for Paul Miller Racing. The team’s history of success at the Virginia circuit includes podium finishes in four consecutive seasons: second place in 2021, third in 2022, and back-to-back victories in 2023 and 2024.

Last year, Madison Snow scored a dominant win in GTD Pro – just one day after he set the GTD PRO qualifying lap record of 1:43.206. The track was the site of his very first IMSA victory back in 2016.

In the 2025 standings, the No. 48 BMW of Dan Harper and Max Hesse sits fifth on 2,024 points, with the No. 1 BMW of Snow and Verhagen sixth on 2,014 points.

The GTD Pro leaders currently hold 2,254 points – gaps of 230 and 240, respectively – leaving everything to play for as the series closes its sprint chapter and heads toward the endurance run-in.

This weekend’s grid features 23 GT cars split across two classes – 10 GTD Pro and 13 GTD – promising dense traffic, strategy windows, and battles throughout the field.

Expect VIR’s signature high-speed sections to magnify tire management and restart execution, particularly into Turns 1–3 and through the Esses. Paul Miller Racing’s focus is clear: qualify up front, execute flawlessly, and convert speed into points as the GTD Pro title fight tightens.
