Braselton, GA (Friday, October 11, 2024) — The Paul Miller Racing team will roll off tenth for the 2024 Motul Petit Le Mans, the final race of the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.

In a difficult and traffic-filled session, Madison Snow set a time of 1:18.694 aboard his No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 machine. Though the 10th place starting position was not what the team was looking for in a session marked a red flag for contact between two cars and significant traffic for the 22 GTD and GTD Pro machines on-track, it does put the No. 1 ahead of their Michelin Endurance Cup rivals to start the 10-hour race.

Snow, along with co-drivers Bryan Sellers and Neil Verhagen currently lead the Michelin Endurance Cup by five points over the No. 62 Ferrari. With points awarded at the four-hour and eight-hour marks of the race, in addition to at the checkered flag, the Paul Miller Racing team will be looking to optimize their running to collect the most points at those markers of the race to bring home their second Michelin Endurance Cup. The team previously won the title in 2020 with Sellers, Snow and Corey Lewis. They also sit third in the season-long IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro standings.

Winning the Michelin Endurance Cup would also make for a happy send off for Sellers as he departs the team after nine seasons. Sellers is leaving to take a program manager role at an incoming IMSA GTD team. Combined with Snow at Paul Miller Racing, the duo won the 2018 and 2023 GTD championships, as well as scored 13 victories and 37 podium finishes together. Notable race wins include the 2018 and 2023 12 Hours of Sebring, 2020 Rolex 24 at Daytona, and a string of three-consecutive victories at the Long Beach Grand Prix from 2021-2023.

“I think Madison did an excellent job with the car that we gave him,” Paul Miller Racing team manager Mitchell Simmons said.

“I think a lot of these cars came loaded for bear this weekend. I just don’t think we have the pace of the others. It’s a long race, and we are primarily interested in the endurance championship. We will wholeheartedly be chasing that championship, that will be the goal of the weekend. After that one is achieved, we will try to keep our third place in the championship and hopefully win the race!”

The 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta goes green Saturday, October 12 at 12:10 PM ET. Live flag-to-flag coverage will be available on NBC Peacock. Television coverage will begin at 12:00 PM ET on NBC, with continuing coverage from 6:00 PM ET until the conclusion of the race on USA Network.

“We’ve been struggling with the car this weekend a little bit. We made a huge step forward in night practice and that showed in the pace we had there. We weren’t quite sure how the car would be in the heat of the day. I think at qualifying, a lot of cars showed up and showed more than they did last night at night practice. We got a little bit faster between night practice and qualifying, but not nearly the jump that everyone else seemingly took. However, it’s a very long race tomorrow. It still doesn’t count us out. There are a lot of cars on track this weekend, and traffic was pretty bad in practice and qualifying. It already caught us out a little bit in the GTD/Pro qualifying session, so I’m sure that will be a factor during the race. We have to keep our nose clean and work our way through the field and maybe pick up a couple from attrition. There’s a lot that can happen in ten hours, and I just hope we can be there at the end.”
