ELKHART LAKE, WI (Saturday, August 5, 2023) — Madison Snow scored his 10th career pole position—and first at Road America—for Paul Miller Racing aboard the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3.

Snow set a laptime of 2:03.291, besting the previous IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD qualifying record by almost two seconds on the newly-repaved Road America track surface.

The pole position also extends Snow and teammate Bryan Sellers’ lead in the GTD points standings to 95 over the No. 27 car.

The Quartz Engine Oil-backed team has three wins so far in 2023, scoring victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring, Long Beach Grand Prix and at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. They have never stood on the top step of the podium at Road America, but are hoping to change that starting from pole tomorrow.

“Madison has matured so much as a driver over these last few seasons, and today’s pole was proof of that,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.

“It’s a great place for Madison to earn his 10th GTD pole with us at Paul Miller Racing. Road America is not an easy track to drive—it’s one of the reasons it remains a favorite of so many drivers—so for him to go so well here is just a testament to that growth.

“It’s not going to be an easy race tomorrow, this field is very strong. But hopefully everyone can execute like they did today and really all this weekend and we can come home with a good result.”

Catch Bryan Sellers, Madison Snow and the entire Paul Miller Racing team race from pole in IMSA SportsCar Weekend’s two-hour, 40-minute race on Sunday at 10:10 AM CT / 11:10 AM ET. You can catch it LIVE on USA Network or stream on NBC Peacock.

“This track repave has certainly been good for us. We came into the weekend strong, but with a lot to learn, and we worked really hard between the team and myself and Bryan to make sure we didn’t miss anything. That effort really added up because the car was amazing in qualifying. I think it was the best BMW we’ve put on a race track so far. That’s what really made the difference come qualifying. We should have a strong car for the race, just need to stay out of trouble and bring it home.”
