Alton, VA (Sunday, August 25, 2024) — The Paul Miller Racing team scored a breakthrough victory in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD Pro class at VIR—their first since moving up from the GTD class at the start of the 2024 season.

Madison Snow led the Michelin GT Challenge field from pole position and wouldn’t give up the lead through the entire first stint. After pitting, co-driver Bryan Sellers would resume behind the wheel of the No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 machine. Sellers would run second for much of his stint, with the No. 1 falling behind the No. 23 car as the strategies each team decided on played out.

A fantastic final stop for the team would catapult the iHeartRadio-backed car back into the lead, with Madison Snow taking it to the finish, ultimately crossing the line 3.368 seconds ahead of P2.

“I’m so proud of everyone this weekend,” Paul Miller Racing team manager, Mitchell Simmons said.

“We didn’t put a wheel wrong the entire weekend. We were P1 in the first practice, set a new track record in qualifying, and led most of today’s race en route to a win.

“We have worked so hard this season to find a bit more pace and really nail our execution and compete at this new increased level in GTD Pro. All that hard work and effort has really come to fruition with this victory, and I’m just so thrilled.”

“This race win was a total team effort,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller added.

“The engineering team of Lars Giersing and Mitchell Simmons; our drivers, Bryan and Madison; and, of course, every member of the crew all worked so tirelessly to make this victory happen.

“I want to thank every one of them for this result.”

The Paul Miller Racing team is back in action for the penultimate race of the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, the six-hour TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks on September 22nd.

The six-hour race is part of the Michelin Endurance Cup, which the Paul Miller Racing team currently leads.

“This race win means so much to every person on this team. Taking on GTD Pro has been a huge challenge for everyone involved, and it’s no secret that it hasn’t been easy for us. Everyone has been working hard, and we’ve been making progress, and I think we took a massive step forward this weekend, so it’s great to see that effort rewarded. VIR is always a special place for myself and Madison and this Paul Miller Racing team. We got our first win together in 2016 here, we won here last year in GTD, and so it’s great to win here specifically for the two of us. It being an overall win in a GT-only race only makes it even more special. I’m just so proud of everyone on this team, it really just proves that we are ready for this challenge and we belong here in GTD Pro.”

Madison Snow
“Great weekend here at VIR. Honestly, it couldn’t have gone better than it did, and that is all thanks to the Paul Miller Racing team. We’ve definitely picked up a lot of momentum these last two races, so it’s nice to know we’re heading in the right direction through the end of this year. It’s nice to get a win this year—our first overall win and our first GTD Pro win—it’s great to get that checked off the list. We have two more races to close out the year, and it’s great to keep building this momentum going into those final two races. Hopefully these good results just continue to build.”
