DAYTONA, Florida  (January 23, 2026) – Paul Miller Racing showed competitive pace during GTD PRO qualifying for the Rolex 24 At Daytona before the team’s No. 1 BMW M4 GT3 EVO was removed from the official results following post-session technical checks.

Despite the outcome, the session underlined the strength of the package and the team’s ability to run at the front of the GTD PRO field.

Neil Verhagen completed the 15-minute qualifying session in the No. 1 BMW, running eight laps in total. His best lap came on lap four, a 1:45.270, in a session where the fastest time was a 1:45.106 set by the No. 3 Corvette – a margin that further highlighted the competitiveness of the No. 1 BMW over a single lap.

After qualifying, IMSA informed the team that the No. 1 BMW did not meet the required technical parameters, with camber measurements outside the allocated limits.

The team accepted the penalty, acknowledging it as an oversight and fully agreeing with IMSA’s determination. With race pace, consistency, and execution carrying far greater weight over 24 hours, the team remains confident it can translate the same level of performance into the race itself.

Track conditions at Daytona varied significantly during the opening sessions, with cooler temperatures during practice than what is expected for race day.

The team will return to the track for the final practice session later today as preparations continue.

As excitement builds toward the green flag, large crowds are expected throughout the weekend, and fans will have the chance to meet the Paul Miller Racing drivers in person during Friday’s official autograph session, a highlight of the Rolex 24 weekend and a perfect way to kick off the IMSA season alongside the team at Daytona.

With qualifying complete, Paul Miller Racing now shifts its focus to race preparation for the 64th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona.

The team remains confident in its race package and looks ahead to the 24-hour endurance classic, which will see the field take the green flag on Saturday at 1:40 p.m. ET.
