BOWMANVILLE, ONT, CANADA (Saturday, July 8, 2023) —The Paul Miller Racing team qualified an excellent third on the grid for tomorrow’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

Madison Snow had the honors for his “home” race—Snow’s father, Martin, is from Canada—and managed a laptime of 1:15.595 just 0.117 of a second off of pole position aboard the No. 1 Quartz Engine Oil-backed BMW M4 GT3.

The team is looking for a good result here at CTMP, having only scored a single podium finish here before—in Snow and Sellers’ first CTMP outing together as teammates in 2016. A good result would bolster the duo’s GTD championship lead, which stood at 104 points at the start of the weekend.

“It’s a sign of a good weekend when you can be a little disappointed with third place in qualifying,” Paul Miller Racing team owner, Paul Miller, said.

“I’m so proud of Madison and how he has driven this weekend and the lap he put down. But, our objective today was pole. To come up just 0.117 of a second short hurts a little bit.

“But we’re in a good place for tomorrow and I think we’ll be able to get a good result here in Canada if everything goes according to plan.”

IMSA Racing returns to NBC Network television for this weekend’s CTMP event—with the race airing live on Sunday at 12:00 PM ET.

“Ended up P3 here. I think it was a great qualifying session for us. This track is a lot of fun to drive when you have a good car and you can be on edge everywhere—it’s such a high-speed track. The team definitely gave me a car that was where it needed to be for the qualifying session. We did the best that we could here today, but we have tomorrow to work our way up and we’ll see where we finish in the race!”
